Petg transparent amorphous copolyester

PETG, whose full English name is poly (ethylene phthalate Co- 1, 4- cyclohexylmethylene phthalate), is a transparent and amorphous copolyester. The common comonomer of PETG is 1, 4- cyclohexanedimethanol, which is called poly (terephthalic acid). It is the product of polycondensation of terephthalic acid (PTA), ethylene glycol (EG) and 1, 4- cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM) by transesterification. Compared with PET, there are 1, 4- cyclohexanedimethanol comonomers, and ethylene glycol comonomers are more than PCT, so the performance of PETG is quite different from that of PET and PCT.

PETG board has outstanding toughness and high impact strength, its impact strength is 3~ 10 times that of modified polyacrylate, and it has wide processing range, high mechanical strength and good flexibility. Compared with PVC, it has the advantages of high transparency, good luster, easy printing and environmental protection.
