In the process of container transportation, there are complicated operation links around the acceptance, extraction, loading and unloading, stockpiling, packing, unpacking, charging, customs clearance and three inspections of containers. Generally speaking, the process of container transportation is as follows:

According to the provisions of the trade contract or letter of credit, the shipper or his freight agent fills in the consignment note or booking form of container goods within a certain period of time before the goods are consigned, and applies to the shipping company or its agent or other transport operators for booking the space.

2. Accept the shipper's application

After receiving the consignment application, the shipping company or its agent company shall check the consignment note and check it with the booking list. After confirmation, it will sign the bill of lading and then return it to the owner or freight forwarder. After carrying the goods, the shipping company or the shipping company's agent distributes them to the container terminals, yards and freight stations in the container loading and unloading operation area according to the space booking list or the single consignment list, so as to prepare for the release of empty containers and the handover of heavy containers.

Step 3 pick up the empty container

The shipping company or its agent company issues the Notice of Container Release and submits it to the shipper or freight forwarder together with the receipt of equipment exchange to pick up the empty containers at the container yard or inland station. When picking up the goods, you must check the appearance of the container and its ancillary equipment, and then sign the equipment handover form respectively.

4. Inspection and declaration

The owner or freight forwarder can go through the export declaration formalities with the customs on the basis of the loading list.

Step 5 pack

The consignor packs the boxes by himself and delivers them to the container stacking station on time. According to the packing list of the booking form, the container yard will accept and issue the goods receipt in the station, and then pack the goods in the station; Container freight station receives goods and consigns them according to the booking form, issues goods receipts in the station, sorts them, and then packs them in the station.

6. Container handover

Both FCL and LCL must be sent to the container yard in the container handling area for loading. At the time of handover, first, both parties sign the equipment handover form; Secondly, the container yard terminal signs the receipt at the port station after checking the relevant documents, and returns it to the owner or freight forwarder in exchange for the bill of lading.

7. Bill of Lading Exchange

The shipper or freight forwarder will exchange the dock receipt signed by the bill of lading and the container yard for the shipping company or its agent, and settle foreign exchange with the bank accordingly.

8. shipment
