Remarks The Information Center of Qingdao Port Authority is the information construction and management department of Qingdao Port Authority, which shoulders the historical responsibility of Qingdao Port in the information age. Qingdao Port attaches great importance to computer application, especially since the implementation of the factory director responsibility system, information construction has flourished, the computer application level of production and operation has been greatly improved, and the computer technology team has been growing. The modern office space of the information center has become a window to show the modern management of Qingdao Port.
Qingdao Port has the largest EDI center in China coastal ports, with more than 80 users, including famous shipping companies at home and abroad and all container terminals in Qingdao. 80% of container transport documents are exchanged through the computer system of EDI center, which is in line with the international trade model. In terms of network construction, the intranet and Internet covering bureau organs and grass-roots units have been built, and office automation has basically been realized. In terms of management information system, computer technology has been widely used in Qingdao Port's production scheduling, container loading and unloading, pilotage operation, ocean shipping tally, ore crude oil and so on, and has played a decisive role in production and operation.
During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, Qingdao Port will build and improve its internal network and application system with the characteristics of port and shipping information center, realize information exchange and sharing with domestic customers and related units, fully realize computerized management of port production enterprises, and lay a solid foundation for building an information port within ten years.
