Are funds, futures and warrants securities? What does securities include besides stocks and bonds?
Securities are legally binding written documents representing certain interests or rights. Of course, the fund is a contract and the warrant is a certificate of power. We generally refer to securities.
It also includes options, central bank bills, corporate bonds, national debt, commercial bills, bank bills and so on.
In a broader sense, of course, everything is included, and IOUs and even invoices are considered securities.
