The Seventh Fleet of the U.S. Navy collided with another ship. What is the level of the U.S. Navy?

The U.S. Navy’s Seventh Fleet collided with another ship! The USS Benford, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer of the US Seventh Fleet, was hit by a Japanese commercial tugboat during an exercise in Sagami Bay, Japan.

Russian Satellite Network reported on November 18 that US military sources stated that the incident occurred during the exercise in Sagami Bay on the east coast of Japan. A tugboat lost control and hit the side of the warship.

A press release from the U.S. Navy’s Seventh Fleet stated that there were no casualties on either ship. The Benford sustained minimal damage, including a scrape to the side. A full damage assessment will be conducted. The destroyers were still underway and the Japanese ships were being towed to the port of Yokosuka. The military promised to investigate the incident.
