Yesterday, the State Council appointed Li Chao as the vice chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, and removed Zhuang Xinyi from the post of vice chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission. Li Chao was removed from the post of deputy director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
Today, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced that Zhang Yujun, assistant to the chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, was suspected of serious violation of discipline and was currently under investigation. Zhang Yujun, born in May, 1963, a native of Shifang, Sichuan, holds a doctorate in economics and law.

Since 2003, he has served as Chairman, President and Party Secretary of China Bank. On March 20 13, he officially became the chairman and party secretary of the CSRC.

Liu Xinhua, 1955, born in Hebei, has a doctorate in economics.
Liu Xinhua has been the assistant to the chairman of the CSRC since 2006, and officially became the vice chairman of the CSRC in 2009.

Another vice chairman, Jacky Jiang, is 59 years old. He used to work in Economic Daily and Financial Times, and later in the general office of the central bank.

Three assistants to the chairman
