First of all, they have different characteristics. Natural gas is one of the safer fuels. It contains no carbon monoxide and is lighter than air. Once it leaks, it will immediately spread upward, and it is not easy to accumulate and form explosive gas, so it has high safety. The explosion limit of liquefied gas is about 1.5%-9.5%.
Second, their material composition is different. Natural gas is mainly composed of alkanes, of which methane accounts for the vast majority, and a small amount of ethane, propane and butane. Liquefied gas is mainly short-chain alkanes.
Third, they use different fields. Natural gas is the cleanest energy on earth, which can be used not only as fuel, but also for food freezing, air liquefaction and power generation. Liquefied gas is mainly used as petrochemical raw materials, which can be used to produce ethylene by hydrocarbon cracking or synthesis gas by steam reforming, and can be used as fuel for industry, civil and internal combustion engines.
1. Liquefied petroleum gas is a colorless volatile liquid obtained by pressurizing, cooling and liquefying natural gas or oil in an oil refinery. Spontaneous combustion is easy. When its content in the air reaches a certain concentration range, it will explode when it meets an open flame.
2. Natural gas is mainly used as fuel to make carbon black, chemicals and liquefied petroleum gas. Propane and butane produced from natural gas are important raw materials for modern industry. Natural gas is mainly composed of gaseous low molecular hydrocarbons and non-hydrocarbon gases.
