Physical properties:
Density of 2507 dual-phase steel: 8.03g/cm3, melting point: 1300- 1390℃.
Heat treatment:
Keep the temperature between 1000- 1052℃ 1-2 hours, and air-cool or water-cool quickly.
Mechanical properties:
Tensile strength: σb≥795Mpa, yield strength σb≥550Mpa, elongation: δ≥ 15%, hardness ≤3 10(HB).
Corrosion resistance and main use environment:
The high chromium and molybdenum content of 2507 dual-phase steel makes it have strong overall corrosion resistance to organic acids such as formic acid and acetic acid. 2507 dual-phase steel also has strong corrosion resistance to inorganic acids, especially acids containing chlorides. Compared with 904L, 2507 dual-phase steel has stronger corrosion resistance to dilute sulfuric acid mixed with chloride ions. 904L is an austenitic alloy, which is specially used to resist pure sulfuric acid corrosion. 3 16L cannot be used in hydrochloric acid environment, and may suffer from local corrosion or overall corrosion. 2507 dual-phase steel is used in dilute hydrochloric acid environment, which has strong resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion.
Matching welding materials and welding process:
ER2594 welding wire and E2594 covered electrode are selected for the welding of 2507 dual-phase steel.
