Coffee beans and cocoa beans come from different plants, namely coffee trees and cocoa trees. Coffee beans usually grow on coffee trees, and cocoa beans are the fruit seeds of cocoa trees. There are obvious differences between these two kinds of beans in appearance, growth environment and use. Coffee beans are mainly used to make coffee drinks, while cocoa beans are the main raw materials for making chocolate and other cocoa products. Although the appearance is similar after processing, there are obvious differences in source, color and surface characteristics. It can be clearly said that coffee beans and cocoa beans are not the same thing.
