1. The consumer can request a return or exchange. Supermarkets sell expired food. If the value of food illegally produced and operated is less than 1 10,000 yuan, a fine of more than 2,000 yuan and less than 50,000 yuan will be imposed. If the amount of compensation for the production and operation of food that does not meet the food safety standards is less than 1,000 yuan, consumers may demand compensation of ten times the price from the producers and operators.
2. If the goods or services provided by the business operators are fraudulent, consumers can ask the merchants for three times the price of the goods or accept the compensation for the service fees. Consumers should keep relevant evidence, apply for relevant compensation from relevant food buyers or complain to consumers' associations;
3. If the circumstances are serious, the producer or operator may be required to pay ten times the price or three times the loss, or report to the health supervision department and the industrial and commercial bureau.

If an operator commits fraud in providing goods or services, it shall increase the compensation for the losses suffered by consumers as required, and the compensation amount shall be three times the price of the goods purchased by consumers or the cost of receiving services; If the amount of additional compensation is less than that of 500 yuan, it shall be 500 yuan. Where there are other provisions in the law, those provisions shall prevail.
Where a business operator knowingly provides goods or services to consumers, causing death or serious damage to the health of consumers or other victims, the victims have the right to demand compensation from the business operator in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations such as Articles 49 and 51 of this Law, and have the right to demand punitive damages less than twice.
