Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, which is known as "paradise on earth". It is a financial and economic university with economy and management as the main body and coordinated development of economics, management, literature, law, science, engineering, art and philosophy.

The school's predecessor was Zhejiang Financial Bank School, which was founded in 1974. 19 1 approved the establishment of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, and awarded a bachelor's degree in 2003.

In 20 12, it was approved to serve the national special needs doctor training program, renamed as Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics in 20 13, approved as a postdoctoral research mobile station in 20 14, listed as a key construction university in Zhejiang Province in 20 17, and approved as a doctoral degree awarding unit in 20 18.

The school has four campuses, namely Xiasha, Wenhua, Cuiyuan and Chang 'an, covering an area of 2,300 mu with a total construction area of 570,600 square meters (excluding Xiasha Ziyuan living area).
