The Membership Structure of China Futures Association
At present, the association is composed of group members who are mainly futures brokerage institutions and special members of futures exchanges. "Group members" refer to futures brokerage companies and other institutions established with the approval of China Securities Regulatory Commission. "Special member" refers to the futures exchange established with the approval of China Securities Regulatory Commission. As of September 2003, China Futures Association has 189 member units, including 186 group members and 3 special members (Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, Dalian Commodity Exchange and Shanghai Futures Exchange). Member units are distributed in 32 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, with the most concentrated in Shanghai, Beijing, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other regions. From June 5 to February 2007, CICC was accepted as a special member.
