DEHP is a kind of phthalate, actually called DOP (dioctyl phthalate). DEHP is made of octanol or isooctanol (2-EH) and phthalic acid, so it is called DEHP.

Dioctyl phthalate (DOP) is an organic ester compound and a commonly used plasticizer.

DINP (diisononyl phthalate) is a common plasticizer, which is esterified by phthalic anhydride and isononyl alcohol.

DOP is an important general plasticizer, which is mainly used in the processing of polymers such as PVC resin, chemical fiber resin, acetate resin, ABS resin and rubber, as well as coatings, dyes and dispersants.

DINP has advantages in improving extrusion efficiency. Under typical extrusion processing conditions, DINP can reduce the melt viscosity of the mixture more than DOP, which is helpful to reduce die pressure, reduce mechanical wear or improve extrusion productivity. This productivity improvement can be achieved without changing the product formula and production process, increasing additional fixed investment and energy consumption, and maintaining product quality.

3. Different functions

DEHP is the most widely used plasticizer. Except cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate, DEHP has good compatibility with most synthetic resins and rubbers used in industry.

DOP is a general plasticizer, which is mainly used in the processing of high polymers such as PVC resin, chemical resin, acetate resin, ABS resin and rubber, and also used in coatings, dyes and dispersants. DOP plasticized PVC can be used to make artificial leather, agricultural film, packaging materials, cables and so on.

DINP is usually an oily liquid and insoluble in water. Generally, it is transported by tanker, and in small quantities, it is transported by iron drum or special plastic drum.
