At present, there are many kinds of PVC and XPE car mats on the market, not which one is good, but which one is more suitable for your car. There is no "ten works and ten beauties", and there is no "most expensive", "best" and "most suitable" car. When selecting car cushions (including trunk cushions), it is recommended to follow the following principles:

I. Environmental protection

First of all, we should consider the environmental protection of materials, that is, environmental protection standards, related indicators such as "formaldehyde" content standards or "formaldehyde-free" car mats and trunk mats. Check the relevant qualified labels and quality guarantee immediately when selecting. Some car mats are made of cheap materials, and even some "chemical" substances are added, so they will emit "pungent" and "sticky smell" when used, especially in high temperature environment. If this type of car mat is used for trunk mat or car mat, it not only has a strong smell, but also lasts for a long time. If you inhale this kind of "harmful gas" for a long time, it will have a great impact on your body.

B. Safety

When driving on the road, our biggest concern is "safe travel". If the size of the selected product is not appropriate, or it is easy to cause the displacement of the foot pad when braking, the consequences may be very serious and it may easily lead to traffic accidents. Therefore, it is best to choose some car cushions with certain friction coefficient, certain measures in installation and fixation (stability) and convenient maintenance.

For example, some environmentally-friendly formaldehyde-free car mats (floor mats, trunk mat) on the market now have some design styles such as "anti-slip buckles" (or buckles) and plastic nails, which are not easy to slide, and it is difficult to cause consequences when using brakes. C, wear resistance

Safety ensures wear resistance and prolongs service life. Everyone likes products that are both environmentally friendly and value for money. The heavier and thicker car cushions have better wear resistance and a slightly higher price. The "weight" or "volume size" of the foot pad itself will be slightly different due to different materials. For example, XPE foam type is slightly worse than PVC in terms of wear resistance. Therefore, the car mainly chooses the foot pad according to the space of the vehicle and the design requirements of the floor.

D, performance parameters

At present, PVC and XPE have different functions. Taken together, XPE has better water resistance and formability (three-dimensional or pot-shaped), and PVC has better skid resistance and adsorption stability (or clings to the floor). Usually, driving a vehicle will encounter not only sunny days, but also rainy and snowy roads. People will bring in some sediment or foreign bodies such as water and snow because of their heels. At this time, the importance of anti-slip (or foot slip) is reflected in PVC material. Of course, this is not to say that XPE is poor. With the development of the automobile industry, more and more advanced products will appear, and car owners can choose the appropriate products according to the actual situation of the vehicle.

E, convenient maintenance

According to the design of vehicle floor and the characteristics of "drivers and passengers" who often ride (such as smokers), if you choose some products with high flammable probability such as wool and foam, you may sometimes have a "fire" because of cigarette butts, which is particularly noteworthy. In terms of maintenance and cleaning, we should also choose a foot pad that is easy to clean and convenient to maintain (quick and convenient to remove or install). Although rubber PVC material is easy to clean, it is easy to deform. Foam is also not easy to stick to foreign objects, and it is also difficult to deform. Once it is improperly maintained, it will leave some "marks" on the appearance after deformation, which cannot be eliminated.
