It is learned from relevant parties that the first joint venture railway in Northeast China, Changchun-Shuangyang-Yantongshan Railway, invested and built by the Ministry of Railways, the Provincial Communications Department and the Changchun Municipal Government, has basically completed the land acquisition and demolition work, and it is expected to start at the end of July and be completed and put into operation in August 2007.

It is reported that the Changshuangyan local railway is a first-class local railway connecting Changchun to Tumen and Shenyang to Jilin. It starts from Longquan Station on Changtu Line in the north and ends at Yantongshan Station on Shenji Line in the south, with a total length of 93 kilometers. The estimated total investment of the project is 750 million yuan, and the design standard is the national railway secondary railway, with a construction period of two years. The initial freight volume of the project is expected to be 5.35 million tons, and the forward freight volume is expected to be 10 17000 tons.

There are 6 stations along the railway, of which 1 is Longquan North Station, and 5 intermediate stations are Yan Quan Station, Sheling Station, Shuangyang Station, He Shan Station and Wujiazi Station (Yatai Shuangyang Cement Plant). In addition, there are three reservation stations, namely Cultural Village Station, Yinjia Station and Tongjia Station.

This project is a national railway "Tenth Five-Year Plan" project, and also a key construction project in Jilin Province during the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period. The development and construction of the long-double-extension railway is of great significance to the development and utilization of resources along the line, the promotion of tourism development, the improvement of railway comprehensive transportation network, the acceleration of regional economic development and the realization of regional economic breakthrough.
