There are two directions under the economic law system: economic law and financial law. In order to meet the needs of market economy and the implementation of the strategy of governing the country according to law, it is urgent to train a group of professional legal talents with both professional knowledge of civil and commercial law and high foreign language level. In 2005, our college added a major in civil and commercial law for undergraduates. The purpose of this major is to cultivate high-quality legal talents with all-round development in morality, intelligence and physical education, grasp the basic theoretical knowledge of civil and commercial law, have certain ability to analyze and solve problems, and have the necessary knowledge of economic management and a high level of foreign language.

The major courses offered in this major are: jurisprudence, constitutional law, civil law, commercial law and company law, economic law, intellectual property law, property law, debt law, tort law, marriage inheritance law, negotiable instruments law, bankruptcy law, insurance law, securities and futures law, maritime law, criminal law, criminal procedure law, civil procedure law, administrative law and administrative procedure law, public international law, private international law and international economic law. Graduates of this major can not only engage in legal practice in courts, procuratorates, public security organs, law firms, government agencies, insurance companies, securities companies, various enterprises and economic management departments. You can also engage in law teaching, scientific research and legal research in colleges and universities. With the deepening of China's reform and opening up and the need to join the WTO, China urgently needs a group of professional legal talents who are familiar with international economic laws and practices and have a high level of foreign language. Under this background, in 2003, our school added the major direction of international economic law for undergraduate law. This major aims to cultivate legal talents who have all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique, adhere to the correct political direction, have a solid theoretical foundation of law, are familiar with the basic theories and skills of international economic law, understand the theory and practice of international economic trade, master a foreign language skillfully, and have strong ability to analyze, solve and innovate problems.
