Let's talk about choosing a university and major according to my own personal experience and that of a classmate of mine.
After the college entrance examination in 2006, we volunteered according to our own assessment. My evaluation score is not good, I expect 590. Finally, my actual test scores were 1 10 points lower than the evaluation scores 10 points.
Up to now, I still think it's not that I made a mistake, but that I made a mistake in evaluating the paper, because one of my classmates also missed 10 on that question, but like me, he did it right.
What's going on here? Something like this—
The ratio of A/B is required in the test paper, but the ratio of B/A is given in the standard answer, and it is said that if you answer that B/A is 1/2, you can get half a point. We all answered A/B as 1/2. Yes, you should get full marks. The standard answer to deception does not meet the requirements of the topic.
Because of the gap of 10, my classmate didn't go to the last volunteer. Then he put the university he originally wanted to apply for in his first choice into his second choice, and that year, his second choice university was not full in Heilongjiang. One of his wishes is the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. According to the trend of previous years, even if this score is missing, he can enter the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. However, the admission line of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China was ten points higher than that of Sichuan University and other universities. Fortunately, Wu Da was not full that year, and I finally went to Wu Da.
Because I suspected that the provincial control line would be around 585, I found some 2 1 1 that were not in popular cities, and finally I chose Guangxi University, and the second form was filled in by Changsha University of Science and Technology. After the score came out, I thought I would definitely not pass the provincial control line, and the information management and information system of volunteer specialty was not good. I'm quite happy, because my second-class school is good and my major is well chosen, so I'm sure I can go.
Sadly, however, a line turned out to be 578, and I was 1 minute more than a line. Finally, I had to pack my parcel and report to Guangxi University.
Information management major is an interdisciplinary subject. In Guangxi University, under the management of the School of Mathematics and Information Science, Guangxi University also has the School of Computer Information Science, where the pure computer major is located. In our number letters, information management needs to learn many mathematics majors, such as mathematical modeling, such as operational research, etc., while computer subjects are relatively few, even assembly and front-end languages are less learned, and the database only opens VFP and SQL. In addition to these two courses, we also offer a large number of management courses, economics courses and even sociology courses. As for Marxism-Leninism and English, which everyone learns, of course we have to learn. I doubt very much whether the specialized courses of information management and information system in Guangxi University have been kept.
I chose this major only because I didn't have enough information before I entered the exam. I didn't know at that time that this major was only a computer-related major and a marginal major. By the time I knew, all the college entrance examination results had come out. Considering the employment prospect of this major, I actually don't want to study, but I have already taken a tutorial once, and my parents will definitely not allow me to go again.
One of my classmates is much luckier than me. He usually does better in the monthly exam than me, but he didn't test me in the college entrance examination, and he didn't test me in the college entrance examination twice. The first time I applied for Harbin Institute of Technology, I failed. The second time, the results were not good. He directly applied for the civil engineering of Lanzhou Transportation. Of course, he must be admitted.
Four years in college, I heard that it is very hard, and the natural environment in Lanzhou is far less than that in Nanning. Looking at his photo by the Yellow River in the northwest, I feel sorry for him.
But when I graduated, civil engineering was easy to find. Lanzhou Transportation was originally a local college, and the designated receiving units were all railway bureaus across the country. My senior year signed the Nanjing Branch of Shanghai Railway Bureau last semester. After graduation, wages have been high and have risen rapidly. His eldest brother got married and bought a house. He only worked for a few months and sponsored his eldest brother for 20 thousand yuan for free.
He now buys a house in Nanjing, gets married, gives birth to a baby, and occasionally basks in the baby in a circle of friends. He looks very happy, and I envy him.
Comparing our volunteer applications, we can find that the main reason for the gap between us is-
He had enough information before applying for the exam. He clearly knows what kind of school Lanzhou Transportation is, the status of civil engineering he applied for in Lanzhou Transportation, and where he can probably go to work after graduation.
But I only know that Guangxi University is the only university with a beautiful campus in Guangxi. I know almost nothing about my major. I'm so stupid. Now that I think about it, I really want to cry. Why am I so stupid?
Therefore, as an experienced person, I want to tell you that you must have enough information when you volunteer, and you can correctly analyze which information is useful and which information is not.
