Private illegal collection of parking fees means that parking lots or individuals set up parking lots without approval or legal registration according to relevant regulations, and collect parking fees from car owners. This behavior not only violates relevant laws and regulations, but also damages the legitimate rights and interests of car owners. Therefore, we need to report to the relevant administrative departments to maintain market order and public interests.
Parking fees can be reported to the local industrial and commercial departments and local price departments, and the local price departments shall order them to make corrections. Anyone suspected of illegal business operations shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law. If the circumstances are serious, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years or criminal detention, and shall also or solely be fined not less than one time but not more than five times the illegal income; If the circumstances are especially serious, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than five years, and shall also be fined not less than one time but not more than five times his illegal income or his property shall be confiscated.
To sum up, if private parking fees are found to be illegal, they should be reported to the relevant administrative departments in time to maintain market order and public interests. At the same time, we should also raise our awareness of self-protection and avoid becoming victims of illegal acts.
