What does the futures number code mean?
The futures digital code represents the time of the futures contract. Futures digital code has four digits, of which the first two digits represent the year of this century and the last two digits represent the month. Taking IC2 106 as an example, it represents CSI 500 stock index futures delivered in June 2002 1 year, in which IC represents CSI 500 stock index futures, and 21in 2 106 represents 202 1 06 represents June.
The month of futures refers to the delivery month of futures, and the delivery month is also the expiration month of futures. Once the final delivery date has passed, futures will become history. Most futures have 1- 12 months, but for some agricultural futures, due to the characteristics of agricultural products, there are only a few delivery months in a year.
