Limited position of methanol futures
The maximum position of methanol futures refers to the maximum position that members or customers can hold in a futures contract calculated by the exchange unilaterally.

According to the difference of the general month, the month before the delivery month and the delivery month of futures contracts, different warehouse limit standards are applied to the number of futures contracts.

When the unilateral position of each methanol futures contract is greater than or equal to 65438+ 10,000 lots, the unilateral position of futures company members shall not be greater than 25% of the total unilateral position of the contract; When it is less than 6,543,800 lots, the unilateral positions of futures company members are not restricted.

1. General month

The position limit of non-futures company members and customers of methanol futures contracts is 1000 lots (including inter-period arbitrage positions).

2. One month before the delivery month

The methanol futures contract is limited to 300 lots for non-futures company members and customers (including intertemporal arbitrage positions).

3. Delivery month

The position limit of methanol futures contracts for non-futures company members and customers is 100 lots (including arbitrage positions during the period) (the position limit of natural person customers is 0).

The number of positions held by members or customers shall not exceed the position limit stipulated by the exchange. If a non-futures company member or customer exceeds the position limit, the exchange will implement compulsory liquidation according to relevant regulations. Where a member of a futures company reaches or exceeds the position limit, it may not open new positions in the same direction.
