The name Zaozhuang appeared very late. Shortly after the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, the court ordered the people to mine, and now the whole country is moving. In the present place of Zaozhuang, which was called Yixian at that time, people began to take stones, dig coal and dig wells from the mountains, but because the mining technology was not so powerful, people formed small teams to mine. These people form a small team and solve it on the spot. They use surnames or some signs as place names. For example, when several people surnamed Li get together, this place is called, and several people surnamed Zhang are called.
With the exploitation of minerals, more and more people name their gathering places with surnames or symbols of surrounding gathering places. Zaozhuang was a famous gathering place at that time. Zaozhuang is named after a jujube forest near the gathering place, which is the earliest origin of Zaozhuang.
