The 4th China (International) Futures Conference was held in Shenzhen in 2008. As the most influential annual meeting of domestic futures industry, the theme of this futures conference is "financial crisis, institutional investors and futures market". Chen Yingchun, member of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Committee and vice mayor, said that the financial tsunami will not only change Shenzhen's attitude and determination to support the development of the financial industry, but also further strengthen its support for the financial industry, making Shenzhen the most suitable city for the development of the financial industry. Jacky Jiang, assistant to the chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, said that in the future, the futures market should take into account the important relationships between the virtual economy and the real economy, innovation and development and regulatory norms, market size and development quality, learning from the West and combining national conditions, and continue to steadily promote the listing of new varieties of commodity futures that meet the needs of national economic development and market conditions; Strengthen the research and development of financial futures, deepen and improve the preparation for listing of stock index futures, and actively create conditions to launch stock index futures in a timely manner; Continue to strengthen the construction of agricultural futures market and explore the operation mode of agricultural futures service for agriculture, rural areas and farmers; Strengthen the comprehensive evaluation of the pricing function and hedging function of existing futures varieties, and make the existing varieties deeper and finer.
It is understood that the CSRC will speed up the construction of a "futures market operation monitoring system", guide futures companies to develop into professional commission agents, start classified supervision of futures companies in a timely manner, vigorously develop professional institutional investors, constantly improve and effectively implement the overall strategy of opening up, and promote the opening up of China's futures market and futures industry in an orderly manner.
Since its establishment in 2005, China International Futures Conference has become an annual event for domestic and foreign futures exchanges, financial supervision departments, futures companies and industry experts and scholars. Zhou Zhengqing, former member of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), deputy director of the Financial and Economic Committee and former chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission; Liu Hongru, President of China Capital Market Research Association and former Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission; Zhou Daojiong, Chairman of PECC China Finance Committee, delivered a keynote speech at the meeting.
