In general futures trading, speculation is the main contract. For example, at present, the main contract copper 0908 (with the largest trading volume and positions) will be the next main contract, with the trading volume and positions significantly increased, while copper 0908 will significantly reduce its positions.
However, as the main contract, it is not necessarily speculative, and the contract near the delivery date also has speculative value, because the contract near the delivery date has high margin requirements, the transaction is inactive, and the possibility of speculation and capital operation is reduced. Pay attention to the comparison of long and short positions of contracts announced by the exchange, and make speculative liquidation before the final delivery month. Personal opinion, for reference only, not as a basis for entering the market.
