rhodium

alloy

An alloy based on rhodium and added with other elements. Commonly used rhodium alloys include rhodium-platinum alloy, rhodium-10Ru alloy, etc. Rh- 10Ru alloy is peritectic, and its main characteristics are high hardness, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and good catalytic activity. Under the protection of argon, the alumina crucible was melted in a high-frequency induction furnace, and a water-cooled copper mold was cast. The cold working performance of ingot is poor, so it can be hot worked at 1450℃. Used as electrical contact material for catalysts and detonators.
