Why do imported iron ore prices take 63.5 grade printing powder as an important reference index? And why is the domestic iron concentrate generally above 65% and 66%?
The silica content of domestic ore is high, and only iron grade above 65% can meet the requirements of steelmaking, while the silica content of imported ore is low, and the grade of 63.5% can meet the requirements of steelmaking. In other words, the silicon content of imported ore with 63.5% grade is generally lower than that of domestic ore with 65% grade.
