Fuel oil is a kind of refined oil extracted from crude oil, which is widely used as fuel for industrial furnaces such as ship boilers, heating furnaces and metallurgical furnaces. Fuel oil is mainly composed of petroleum pyrolysis residue and straight-run residue, which is characterized by high viscosity and contains many non-hydrocarbon compounds, resins and asphaltenes. The main technical indexes of fuel oil are viscosity, sulfur content, flash point, moisture, ash and mechanical impurities.
