WISCO Group Wuhan Jiangbei Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Company and a high-end steel deep processing base of WISCO. It belongs to Cold Bending Steel Plant (formerly Hankou Steel Rolling Plant), Wire Products Plant (formerly WISCO Wire Rope Plant), Precision Belt Steel Plant (formerly Hanyang Precision Belt Steel Plant), Hanyang Steel Plant, Hanyang Steel Pipe Plant, Machinery Co., Ltd. (formerly Hankou Cold Rolling Plant), Jiangnan Gas Thermal Power Co., Ltd. and Xiangfan Iron and Steel Yingcai Co., Ltd., and has established WISCO Vilka Steel Rope Products Co., Ltd. with American Steel Rope Group as a joint venture. The annual steel deep processing capacity is 6,543,800 tons. The main products are: cold-formed steel, HFW high-frequency straight welded pipe, wire products, strip steel, seamless steel pipe, precision cold-formed steel, bar and other products.

Tonggang is a comprehensive steel plant, which produces cold and hot rolled coils, bars and wires, profiles and cast pipes from ironmaking, steelmaking, continuous casting to steel rolling.

In other words, Tonggang has ironmaking and steelmaking, and WISCO Jiangbei Iron and Steel mainly focuses on cold processing and deep processing. If you want to learn how to make iron and steel, it is more appropriate to go to Tonggang. But on July 25, 2009, the general manager of the company's privatization boycott was killed, which happened in Tonggang, an old state-owned enterprise, efficiency and fairness issues, and so on. However, in my personal experience, I only learned a basic knowledge of metal metallurgy in my undergraduate course, and many technologies were learned at work, so if I don't particularly want to develop in steelmaking and ironmaking, I can still try Jiangbei Iron and Steel without being limited by my major. After all, you have this foundation, and other technologies are easier to use.
