"Shanghai Stock Exchange" is the abbreviation of Shanghai Stock Exchange. The SSE A-share index is compiled by the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and its sample stocks are all listed A-shares, based on the total market value of all A-shares on that day, reflecting the overall change of A-share prices.

The official name of A shares is RMB common stock.
