The down jacket keeps warm because it is filled with down fibers, which are natural protein fibers from waterfowl. Down refers to goose down and duck down, which are divided into white down and gray down according to color. Of course, in addition, there are black eiderdown produced by Icelandic eiderdown ducks and so on. Relatively speaking, better down generally comes from larger and more mature birds, so goose down will be slightly better than duck down. In terms of color, white velvet can be used for light-colored fabrics without color penetration, and it is more popular than gray velvet.
The filling types of down products include white goose down, grey goose down, white duck down, grey duck down, goose-duck mixed down and so on. Down products require that the down content must be higher than 50%, and those below 50% can only be called down products. The higher the cashmere content, the better the quality; The bigger the velvet, the higher the bulkiness and the better the quality!
Matters needing attention in cleaning down products
Water temperature 1, 30 degree rinse: firstly, soak down products in cold water for 20 minutes to make down products fully wet inside and outside. Dissolve the detergent in warm water of 30 degrees, then soak the down products in it for a quarter of an hour, and then gently brush them with a soft brush.
2. The concentration of washing powder should not be too high: If washing powder must be used to clean down products, it is usually appropriate to put 4 ~ 5 tablespoons of washing powder in two washbasins. If the concentration is too high, it is difficult to wash off, and the residual washing powder in down will affect the fluffy degree of down and greatly reduce the warmth.
3. Don't wring it out: After washing the product, you can't wring it out. You should squeeze out the water, and then lay it flat or hang it to dry. Exposure or ironing is not allowed to avoid scalding clothes. After drying, you can pat it gently to restore fluffy and soft down.
