Beijing Institute of Materials is located in the east section of Chaoyang North Road in Beijing, the core area of Tongzhou International New City, the source of the ancient Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, with profound cultural heritage and beautiful and pleasant environment. It is a "beautiful campus", "civilized campus" and "garden unit" awarded by Beijing. The campus covers an area of nearly 600 mu, with a construction area of more than 200,000 square meters, and has complete teaching, scientific research and living facilities. 1993, the school opened the first futures major in domestic universities; 1994, the first logistics management major in domestic universities was established; 20 10 domestic universities are the first to offer the major of purchasing management. At present, the school has seven colleges, including School of Economics, School of Logistics, School of Information, School of Business, School of Labor Science and Law, School of Foreign Languages and Cultures, and International College, as well as teaching institutions such as the Ideological and Political Theory Department, Department of Physical Education, and College of Continuing Education. The school has 26 undergraduate majors and directions: economics, international economy and trade, finance (including futures and securities), logistics management, logistics engineering, mechanical design and manufacturing and its automation (logistics equipment engineering), procurement management, quality management engineering (commodity quality inspection and management), computer science and technology, information engineering, Internet of Things engineering, information and computing science, applied statistics, information management and information system, and e-commerce. Accounting (direction of certified public accountants and certified asset appraisers), financial management, business administration, marketing, human resource management, labor and social security, labor relations, law (direction of circulation law), and English (direction of international business and international communication).
The school began to recruit graduate students on 1986. At present, there are 4 first-class disciplines (applied economics, management science and engineering, business administration, computer science and technology) and 20 two disciplines/majors. Two professional degree master training categories (master of engineering, master of business administration). The school has two key construction disciplines in Beijing.
