According to some storage enterprises in southern Xinjiang, although the warehouses in Urumqi, Kuitun or Yili in northern Xinjiang have been auctioned, the phenomenon of returning lint in batches due to snowfall is increasing because the temperature drop in northern Xinjiang is greater than that in southern Xinjiang. Coupled with the high temperature and low humidity during processing in southern Xinjiang, the weight loss of lint during storage is very prominent at present. A batch of cotton even lost about 800 kilograms, and the processing cost of lint rose sharply.

Recently, due to the influence of snowfall and cooling, the purchase of seed cotton in southern Xinjiang is in a semi-stagnant state. Most of them are sold by cotton farmers and cotton dealers in nearby areas. It is difficult to see large trucks transporting seed cotton along the national highway from Kashgar to Aksu, and the daily average purchase volume of cotton ginning mills continues to decline. The purchase price of 40 coats of four-grade seed cotton with moisture content less than 13% in Aksu Xiqiao, Keping and Kuqa is stable at 8.65-8.75 yuan/kg. According to industry estimates, at least 70% ginning mills in southern Xinjiang will stop purchasing at the end of 65438+February, and the processing will end at around June 10. Because the daily storage index of southern Xinjiang cotton region is only 2000 tons, most enterprises call for increasing storage warehouses or expanding storage capacity in southern Xinjiang. Some cotton enterprises are worried that if the lint purchased and processed in the later period cannot be delivered smoothly at 12 and 10, the quality of the later cotton grade and the mainland will decline. If it can't be handed in to the warehouse, whether it's matching, futures warehouse receipt or spot sales, it needs to be re-examined or self-examined, and the phenomenon of demotion will be very common.
