How is the national debt income calculated?
The yield of national debt is calculated according to the coupon rate at the time of issuance and the holding period. For example, if investors buy 654.38+10,000 yuan of government bonds, if coupon rate is 3% in three years, it will have a yield of 3,000 yuan per year, and a yield of 9,000 yuan after three years. The longer the national debt is held, the higher the interest rate, but there may be a phenomenon that the interest rate of national debt is upside down. For example, the interest rate of five-year treasury bonds is not as high as that of three-year treasury bonds.
Calculation formula of national debt income:
1 formula for calculating redemption or maturity interest of electronic government bonds: redemption interest payable = accrued interest minus deduction interest. Accrued interest = redemption principal × coupon annual interest rate ÷ actual days of the year × holding days since the last interest payment date; Deduction of interest = redemption principal × annual coupon rate ÷ actual days of the year × days of deduction of interest.
2 Calculation formula of redemption or maturity interest of voucher bonds: redemption interest payable = redemption principal × grading interest rate × (number of whole years calculated from the value date to the current month+remaining days less than a whole year ÷ actual days of the current year).
Judging from the yield of bonds issued in history, the annualized yield of bonds is generally between 3% and 4.5%, which is relatively higher than the yield of bank time deposits and similar to the interest rate of bank large deposit certificates. The bank needs to invest at least 200,000 yuan for certificates of deposit, while the initial investment amount of electronic bonds only needs 100 yuan, so everyone is looking forward to every bond issue. After all, the threshold is low, safe and the interest rate is good.
