Article 9 of the Law on the Protection of Wild Animals: Wild animals under special state protection are divided into two types: national first-class protected animals and national second-class protected animals. The state gives priority to the protection of rare and endangered wild animals. Brief introduction of national first-class protected animals

Animals protected at the national level are classified according to the Wildlife Protection Law. Article 9 of the Law on the Protection of Wild Animals divides the wildlife under special state protection into two types: national first-class protected animals and national second-class protected animals, and makes relevant provisions on their protection measures, but their legal status is the same.
