? Under the active organization of Mr. Huang Zhihua, an alumnus of the class of 1999, the Civil Engineering Group of the Mentor 2.0 Project launched the first offline event in 2019 on the afternoon of May 26. The cool summer rain could not stop the alumni. The enthusiasm with which we met. Everyone gathered at Century Avenue Bailian to exchange views on their recent work, life and career development plans.

? First, Senior Sister Luo Liping, born 1990, introduced the development status of domestic rail transit. She believed that the domestic eight-vertical and eight-horizontal high-speed rail backbone network has been basically completed, such as the intercity rail network connecting Wuhan, Shanghai and surrounding cities. The railway has basically taken shape, and it is expected that the next domestic rail transportation trend may be the construction of urban rail lines (such as the connecting line between Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao Airport). Recently, the regional integration of the Yangtze River Delta has become a national strategy, and regional rail construction in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and other regions still has great potential for development.

? Secondly, Brother Guo Gaogui from the Shanghai Municipal Government expressed some of his views on the development of BIM technology. He believes that BIM is a very hot topic in the civil engineering industry at present, and the industry is paying great attention to it. In the past, a large number of BIM designs were often carried out after the project entered the construction and future operation period. In this way, the original intention of introducing BIM technology was greatly compromised. But now more and more BIM technology is introduced during the design period of the project. If If implemented well, it will be of great benefit to the entire project cycle. However, the construction of this technology requires a large amount of manpower and material investment, which has also become a major problem faced by the specific advancement.

? Then everyone chatted while eating, discussing some recent hot issues in civil construction, urban planning, bridge and tunnel engineering and other industries, such as general contracting of projects, the deep tunnel project across the Suzhou River, and the roof of Gucun Park. They exchanged views on tube tunnels, medium and low-speed maglev, the connection between planning and design and construction, etc. After chatting about their majors, the alumni also shared their views on work and life-related topics such as children's education, personal development planning, workplace relationships, financial planning, etc. The atmosphere was cordial and harmonious.

In the midst of chatting and laughing, more than 2 hours have passed unknowingly. This gathering of the civil engineering group not only included exchanges and interactions about professional industry knowledge, but also shared experiences on life, family and personal development. Alumni Their deep understanding of the industry and love for life deeply infected everyone present. Although 2019 is about to pass halfway, we are still looking forward to our next gathering this year!

External Chapter:

After the dinner, some alumni still had unfinished business. Braving the heavy rain, Huang Zhihua and Ding Hao also went to Chuansha, Pudong to visit the new Taiping Bridge, a self-anchored suspension bridge under construction on Chuanhuan South Road across the Pudong Canal Bridge. The bridge is currently being erected with cables. This bridge type is innovative and landscape-oriented in the application of Shanghai's soft soil foundation. Through the visit, the two alumni gained a lot of intuitive feelings about the construction of the bridge.
