What coins were used before the Qin Dynasty unified the currency? How is it calculated?
There are many kinds of ancient coins in China, which have unique monetary cultural characteristics. In the pre-Qin period, various vassal States implemented different monetary systems, and different shapes of knife coins, cloth coins and ring coins were used in different regions. By the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Beibi had completely withdrawn, and each vassal state minted its own currency, with its own multiplier knives, gold ant nose money from Chu, Ming knives from Yan, square ruler cloth from Han, pointed ruler cloth from Zhao, bridge ruler cloth from Wei, round money from Qin and so on. Coins vary in shape and weight and are difficult to convert. After Qin Shihuang unified the six countries, he abolished the old coins of the six countries, improved them on the basis of the Qin Banliang coins of the Warring States period, and finally determined the "Qin Banliang" coins of the round hole. Then, it ended the chaotic state of different shapes and different weights in ancient China.
