Why can medium boron silicon resist alkali?
Medium boron silicon can resist alkali because of its high boron content. The chemical properties of boron are easily oxidized by air, and the formation of boron trioxide film hinders the further oxidation of internal boron. It can react with fluorine at room temperature and is not corroded by hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid aqueous solution. Boron is insoluble in water, while powdered boron is soluble in boiling nitric acid and sulfuric acid, and most molten metals, such as copper, iron, manganese, aluminum and calcium. Boron is a widely used chemical raw material mineral, which is mainly used to produce borax, boric acid, boron compounds and elemental boron. It is an important raw material for metallurgy, building materials, machinery, electrical appliances, chemicals, textiles, nuclear industry, medicine, agriculture and other departments.
