Tinplate, also known as tinned iron, is the common name of tinned steel plate, abbreviated as SPTE in English, which refers to cold-rolled low-carbon steel plate or steel strip with commercial pure tin on both sides. Tin mainly plays an anti-corrosion and anti-rust role. It combines the strength and formability of steel with the corrosion resistance, weldability and aesthetics of tin, and has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, non-toxicity, high strength and good ductility.

Tinplate packaging containers are deeply loved by customers because of their strong oxidation resistance, diverse styles and exquisite printing, and are widely used in food packaging, drug packaging, daily necessities packaging, instrument packaging, industrial products packaging and so on.

With the continuous improvement and perfection of tinplate printing technology and processing technology, tinplate packaging is more and more widely used. At present, the domestic tinplate production capacity is constantly improving, and the imported tinplate will gradually decrease. Except for some high-end products, we still need to import a small amount, and we are basically self-sufficient. The demand of China packaging industry puts forward higher requirements for the quantity and quality of metal packaging.
