Taiwan Province Futures Exchange was established on September 9th, 1997, which is a futures trading market. Futures trading in Taiwan Province Province started at 198 1. At that time, according to the Measures for the Administration of Overseas Futures Trading of Important Materials, the Central Trust Bureau invited Merrill Lynch to set up the first futures company in Taiwan Province, and allowed well-traded manufacturers to engage in overseas futures trading of specific commodities after application and approval.
