I study history, so I must find two examples from my field to prove it. There are two people, one is Sun Bin and the other is Seo Woo. They did two diametrically opposite things, but both succeeded.
Let's start with Sun Bin. His fame is probably "Everyone knows you". Sun Bin and Pang Juan came from the same school, but it's a pity that Pang Juan mercilessly persecuted this senior master elder brother, and Sun Bin became a basket case from now on. Fortunately, he didn't die, and finally came to Qi State to show his talent to history.
There are not many stories about Sun Bin and Pang Juan. Pang Juan is the general of Wei, and Sun Bin is the strategist of Tian Ji, the general of Qi. Originally, the hatred between Sun Bin and Pang Juan happened to be tied up with the historical process of hegemony of Qi and Wei, which increased the material for future generations to open their minds.
Wei Qi has been fighting for hegemony for more than ten years. Wei was finally defeated in the Battle of Maling, and Pang Juan also died in this battle. Pang Juan pursued the Qi army with five thousand hussars. In order to confuse Pang Juan, Sun Bin's unique stroke is to shrink the kitchen constantly. Pang Juan was ecstatic to see the decreasing earthen stoves in the camp of the Qi army, indicating that the deserters of the Qi army have been increasing and their morale is lax. As long as we catch up with them, it will be a good show for wolves to kill sheep. He was cheated, but the sheep didn't catch him. Instead, he was caught in a jar, and the great star of Pang Juan's generation fell from the world.
Pang Juan may not have never thought that the Qi army was luring the enemy in depth, but the art of luring the enemy was so lifelike that he had never seen it before. Sun Bin knows Pang Juan too well, so he starts from the details. People who are not careful may not find the subtle difference in the number of stoves per day. Pang Juan is a careful person, and it is necessary to use meticulous methods to deceive careful people. This is the cleverness of Sun Bin.
There is nothing wrong with Pang Juan's failure. The reasons for the trap: first, because he is too confident and eager to achieve success; More likely, his empiricism or fixed thinking mode played a negative role. When the kitchen of the Qi army is decreasing, he naturally thinks that the Qi army is fleeing, and there is reason to think that there is no other possibility except reducing the number of people.
We often say that someone is better than Pang Juan and Sun Bin. Pang Juan is well aware of this. He did something to Sun Bin, but it didn't work. Sun Bin's technology is superior, not skilled and accurate by hand. After all, he is not a sword maker like Ou Yezi. His height is the height of brain thinking and decision-making. We can say that he is wily or clever.
Specifically, this kind of intelligence is the depth or advance of thinking. This kind of cutting the stove to lure the enemy, for Pang Juan, is tantamount to a fairy. If Pang Juan is not dead, he will probably gasp in admiration. "Can you do this whole thing? Sun Tzu's Art of War didn't say that. "Pang Juan didn't keep up with his thinking, and he was taken in by Sun Bin. Sun Tzu's Art of War sophistry was not outrageous.
Pang Juan has provided us with an excellent negative textbook on the level of thinking. When we face a difficult thing, we will have many ideas, and most of them will be rejected by our thinking as soon as they are delivered to our minds. The reasons for refusing are "empirically impossible", "logically impossible" or "theoretically impossible", which I call the thinking suicide mode. We naturally think that water must flow eastward, the earth must revolve around the sun, the speed of light must be the fastest, and roosters must never lay eggs. ...
The scope of thinking about suicide varies from person to person. Some people committed suicide on a small scale, while others committed suicide on a large scale. Therefore, some people we think are flexible, and some people we look at are rigid. People with poor suicidal thinking ability are relatively more creative. Some people are more flexible, creative and able to turn decay into magic, while others are just the opposite. That's how nerds get here.
Now I can let the second historical figure appear. His name is Seo Woo, a famous minister in the Eastern Han Dynasty. He has studied Sun Bin's art of war and knows a little about it.
When I was the prefect of Wudu, one year, thousands of Qiang soldiers intercepted in Chencang Valley. When Seo Woo learned of it, he immediately ordered the troops to stop moving forward and announced to the enemy with a big horn: "I have written to ask for reinforcements, and I will leave when the reinforcements arrive." When the Qiang army heard about it, they went to neighboring counties to plunder separately. Seo Woo took advantage of the scattered forces of the Qiang army to travel day and night 100 Li. He asked the officers and men to make two stoves each, and then doubled them every day. So the Qiang army did not dare to approach.
Someone asked Seo Woo: "In the past, Sun Bin used a furnace reduction meter, but you increased the number of furnaces;" Sun Tzu's art of war says that you can't March more than 30 miles a day to keep your strength and guard against accidents. Now you March nearly 200 miles a day. What is the reason? " Xu Yu said, "There are many enemy soldiers, and our army serenades. Slow is easy to catch up, while fast is easy to understand the details of our army. When the enemy saw more and more stoves in our army, they must have thought that the county soldiers had come to meet them. Because our army is large in number and fast in action, the enemy is bound to dare not catch up. Sun Bin intends to show weakness to the enemy, and now I intend to show strength to the enemy. This is because the situation is different. "
Seo Woo is not famous in history, but this time it is a rare classic. If Seo Woo forcibly moves Sun Bin's vegetable cutting method and marching rules, he will die miserably. Sun Bin has provided many examples and summaries, but it is by no means a textbook that can be copied. His core idea is "soldiers are cunning", which means very simple. You can read and study at will, and see for yourself the specific operation. This is like writing a book. Whether it can be digested or not is a matter for readers.
Fortunately, Seo Woo is not Zhao Kuo. His thinking is very creative. He can judge the situation and use it flexibly. This is a success in thinking, which stems from long-term study and thinking. He has the courage to ask why not, and never let his mind commit suicide easily. Later, Seo Woo was framed and imprisoned, and his political opponents constantly threatened him and induced him to commit suicide. Seo Woo's answer is firm: Why should I commit suicide? If you want to kill me, please punish me clearly. There is no way to commit suicide. Seo Woo miraculously survived, which is also a victory of thinking. In this case, how many people will be led by other people's thinking, and Seo Woo provides us with a good example. Never give up the possibility easily, and never give up yourself.
In contrast, Ma Su in the Three Kingdoms is a negative example. This buddy learned the lesson from Han Xin last time and took all his troops to the mountains. He is euphemistically called "the first battle on the hillside", which seems to be a lively study, but in fact his brain is rusty. As a result, he was surrounded by others. Wei Bing didn't do it. He sat between playing cards at the foot of the mountain. Shu Bing was thirsty, because Masu picked a mountain bag without farmers and mountain springs. He was depressed.
Sometimes, it is good to have low suicidal thoughts, but mental patients actually do better in this respect, which is why many scientific lunatics look like lunatics. For ordinary people, thinking still needs to be controlled and systematized. For example, Seo Woo's method of increasing the range is a complete closed-loop thinking: give the enemy a vaccination in the early stage and shout "Wait, I'll call my brother", which is called paving the way. Later, he began to add stoves to make the enemy think that this was Seo Woo's brother. And others March 30 miles a day, and he marches 200 miles a day, so that the enemy has no chance to see the beauty of his team and can get away with it.
Therefore, to prove a proposition that everyone thinks there is no, it is only effective to provide a set of convincing reasons. It's not enough just to use your imagination. Imagination is like the tip of an awl, and successful thinking is a complete awl. The pen tip can kill people, but it needs the support of a handle, which is the systematicness of thinking. Denying others, in addition to directly saying that they are not pleasing to the eye, it is best to provide an irrefutable thinking answer.
Seo Woo is an excellent thinker. His thinking is flexible enough and systematic enough to achieve great success. Masu, on the other hand, his thinking is jumping, but obviously not detailed enough and systematic enough. He has only an awl tip, but no awl handle. In this way, it is not only difficult to hold it, but also easier to leak his ass. It is a typical example that thinking has not evolved successfully. To sum up, if you want to start a business, it is not enough to have good ideas, but also to match a set of systematic thinking that can successfully realize ideas.
Having said that, my friend's statement that "the biggest difference between people is the different way of thinking" is not accurate enough. In my opinion, the biggest and strongest word with China characteristics should not be used. "The difference between people is the difference between thinking ability and thinking system" may be more accurate.
Therefore, the success of Sun Bin and Seo Woo is the success of thinking ability and systematic thinking, while the failure of Pang Juan and Masu is the failure of relatively weak thinking ability and systematic thinking. Have you arrived yet?
