In recent years, soybean production in the world has developed rapidly, and the total soybean output in 1992/93 is 1. 1.734 million tons. 1996/97 increased to 1.3 1.36 billion tons. In four years, it increased by14.02 million tons, with a growth rate of 1 1.95%. 1997/98, the total soybean output in the world was149.56 million tons, an increase of 14% over the previous year, especially in the United States, the soybean output reached 74.73 million tons, an increase of 15.25% over the previous year. Soybean consumption is mainly used for oil processing, and its annual processing consumption accounts for more than 80% of the total soybean output. China's soybean consumption is increasing. 1997/98 annual soybean demand is about150,000 tons, domestic soybeans are difficult to meet the demand, and the gap between supply and demand is filled by imports. World Oil Market and Trade predicts that the net import of soybeans and soybean meal in China will continue to increase in June1997-September 1998, including 2.8 million tons of soybeans, up 40% year-on-year, and 3.97 million tons of soybean meal, up 2 1.4% year-on-year. Without proper control measures, the degree of soybean supply is even worse than 1997.
