Henan, known as the Central Plains in history, is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and one of the core areas of China history.

Luoyang (the ancient capital of the 13th dynasty), Kaifeng (the ancient capital of the 7th dynasty), Anyang (the ancient capital of the 7th dynasty) and Zhengzhou (the ancient capital of the 5th dynasty) are all famous ancient capitals of the Millennium.
