The face of the academy door is not big, but it looks simple and elegant. When you walk in, you know that the scale is not small, and the area is said to exceed 13000 square meters. The whole building complex stands on the mountain, and five groups of building communities, including Xianxian Academy, Lile Temple, Bailudong Academy, Ziyang Academy and Yan Hotel, are arranged in parallel, which are both integrated and unique.
Strolling through it, you will be amazed at the majestic and dignified buildings and the ingenious ideas and exquisite craftsmanship of the ancients; You will be surprised to find that there were 500 students in the heyday of the college, but now there are very few visitors. For the history of the academy from the Tang Dynasty to the present, you will be more thrilling. For thousands of years, it is said that Zhu personally planted osmanthus flowers, and the flowers bloom and fall as usual. Petals fall with the wind, just like the words in small print, and the sentence "The ancient spirits have moved several times, and this place is still the mainstay" is written down one by one. Yes, the war burned down civil buildings, and the years eroded the paper and ink records, but the ideas were passed down from generation to generation and have a long history.
Bailudong, traced back to the source, was a secluded place where Li Bo studied in the late Tang Dynasty. With Bailudong as his companion, he was called "Mr. Bailudong". "Cave" refers to the flat land between valleys, which is named after the mountain peaks are like holes.
In the Song Dynasty, Zhu, a great scholar, was an official here. "Look at the mountains and rivers around him, there is no noise of the market. With the victory of the spring stone, it is really a place to give lectures and collect books. " Therefore, I strongly advocate the reconstruction of the academy. Be the owner of the cave, make the rules of the cave, teach in person and answer questions. Also invited by Lu Jiuyuan of Xiangshan Academy to give lectures, the "giving lectures" system was initiated by the Academy, which was very popular and famous all over the world.
Today, Zhu's reading method of "step by step, intensive reading, humbly reciting, waiting to see what happens, striving for strength, staying at a respectful distance from others and being ambitious" is still durable and easy to use; Zhu's Revelation of Bailudong Academy has influenced later generations for hundreds of years, but isn't this the right direction of "quality education" that we advocate education reform today?
The history of Bailudong Academy is heavy. If you think of the "high scores and low abilities" brought to children by today's educational methods, your heart is also heavy.

Poetry and prose are gorgeous, and the beautiful scenery of Bailudong and the author's detachment are vividly displayed on paper, showing superb literary accomplishment and profound calligraphy skills. This leads to a magical legend, which makes it difficult for historians and writers to verify who wrote it. Although some scholars have proved that Luo Hongxian was the top scholar in Ming Dynasty, there is no conclusion. Today, the song Wandering White Deer Cave is still shrouded in mystery, just like the mystery of Mona Lisa, leaving more exploration power and imagination space for future generations.
Out of Lingxingmen, Guandaoxi sang all the way, and the stone road was winding and secluded.
Looking at the lovely spring stone, misty clouds are my friends, green hills are beside the house, and trees are full of doors. Not far from the northwest, there is a stone arch bridge hidden in the shade, which is the pillow flow bridge. It is hard to imagine that this small bridge was once the right way to get in and out of the academy. Looks like we went through the back door today. Pillow flow bridge, named after a lying stone engraved with the word "pillow flow" in the stream under the bridge, is famous for the broken bridge in the movie "Romance of Lushan Mountain" filmed here. Standing on the bridge, I recalled the pure encounter between Zhang Yu who waved on the bridge and Guo Kaimin who was sitting on a stone reading.
When you come to Bailudong Academy, you must sit on the "pillow stone". Playful, imitating the classics in the movie; Deeply seek the feelings of sages and scholars who have lived here for a hundred years and studied in thousands of books, as well as the realm of "washing your ears with a pillow and grinding your teeth with a stone". After getting off the bridge, the water is clear, shallow and urgent, but you can step on the "pillow stone" without two or three steps. Sitting cross-legged on a stone, squinting, jumping happily on the water through the swaying sunshine in the treetops, the gurgling streams and chirping birds involuntarily blend into this landscape, quietly entering "innocence" and achieving "harmony between man and nature". Zhu's couplets describing the Rite and Music Temple are really good. "Deer and swimming are places where things forget each other;" The peaks and springs reflect, and one day knows benevolence. "
