The long-term transport capacity of Liu Heng Railway is: the freight volume is 50 million tons/year, and the one-way passenger traffic is 40 million people/year. The running time between Hengyang and Nanning is 4 hours, which is about 7 hours less than the current running time. The construction period of the project is 3.5 years, with an estimated total investment of 57.5 billion yuan. The project is jointly built by the Ministry of Railways, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Hunan Province and social capital in a diversified investment mode. Hunan section of Liu-Heng line includes Hengyang hub and supporting projects in Yongzhou area, starting from Hengyang station in the east and reaching south of Dongan station of existing Gui Xiang line in the west, with a total length of185km. According to the design and construction of national first-class double-track electrified railway, the total investment is 1 1 100 million yuan, and it will be completed and opened to traffic in 20 12 years. After the project is completed and opened to traffic, the transportation capacity will be greatly improved. The long-term annual freight volume and direct passenger flow increased to 50 million tons and130,000 passengers respectively, and the passenger capacity increased by 103 pairs, reaching 120 pairs. The running time can be controlled within 3 hours.
