Improve the production efficiency: on the one hand, the folded hand can be calculated by software, and the printed plate with folded hand can be directly obtained during exposure, saving time and avoiding rework caused by manual imposition error; On the other hand, compared with manual imposition, the registration accuracy of four-color plates obtained by computer plate-making is greatly improved, so there is little paper needed to adjust overprinter after the machine is used, which can greatly shorten the preparation time of overprint and save costs. These are more advantageous than any traditional plate making of CTP and CTcP.
It is also a controversial topic to compare the inking speed between CTP version and traditional PS version or UV-CTP version. The influence of this factor on the number of printed papers is different, which is greater than the influence of improving the registration accuracy of four-color plates, which is also closely related to the brand and model of plates.
3. Close to or lower than the operating cost of the traditional printing process: In addition to the cost-saving reasons mentioned above, the normal operating cost of CTP is close to or lower than the comprehensive cost of the traditional printing process due to the continuous decline in the cost of consumables such as plates.
