He has long been engaged in the research of on-line insulation monitoring and intelligent fault diagnosis technology and high-voltage test technology of power transmission and transformation equipment, focusing on the detection and diagnosis of early and sudden faults of large power transformers and gas combination insulated appliances (GIS), UHF monitoring technology and pattern recognition of partial discharge of electrical equipment, anti-interference technology of on-line monitoring of electrical equipment, detection and sensing technology of pulse signals, condition maintenance and safe operation evaluation of electrical equipment, etc. He has successively won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress 1, the first prize of provincial and ministerial scientific research achievements, the first prize of national excellent teaching achievements 1, the first prize of provincial excellent teaching achievements, more than 40 invention patents, and published more than 230 papers in important academic journals at home and abroad (including more than 60 articles in SCI and more than 80 articles in EI/kloc-0).
