The Financial Research Institute of Shanda Economic Research Institute was established in 2002. At the beginning of the establishment of the Institute, a complete postgraduate teaching management plan and talent training system for "Financial Mathematics" and related disciplines were formulated. At the same time, in cooperation with famous French universities, courses in financial mathematics and financial engineering are offered in China and France.

The School of Finance has a team of teachers with rigorous scholarship, extensive research fields and strong strength. In addition to the basic course teachers shared with the School of Mathematics, we have 15 financial mathematics teachers, including professors 10 and 8 doctoral supervisors, including academicians 1 person, winners of the National Outstanding Youth Fund 1 person, outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education in the new century, outstanding young teachers funding scheme of the Ministry of Education and Fok Ying-tung Young Teachers Fund.
