The new Turkish lira and token is Kuru. The front of the currency is printed with the portrait of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the father of Turkey, with different denominations and different currency colors.

Turkey currently issues six denominations of banknotes and six denominations of coins.

The denominations of banknotes are 100 lira, 50 lira, 20 lira, 10 lira, 5 lira and 1 lira respectively.

The denominations of the coins are 1 lira, 50 kuru, 25 kuru, 1 kuru, 5 kuru and1kuru respectively.
