Taiyuan University of Technology, referred to as "Taiyuan Institute of Technology", is located in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province. It is a "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction university, a national "2 1 1 engineering" key construction university, and the first batch of "excellent engineer education and training plan" implemented by the Ministry of Education. The members of China-Russia Engineering University Alliance and CDIO Engineering Education Alliance have been selected into the national postgraduate project of building high-level universities and the national innovative experimental project for college students.

Taiyuan University of Technology was awarded the National Natural Science Foundation of China 127 in 20 15, including major scientific research instrument development project 1, 39 general projects and 69 youth funds.
