On-exchange funds refer to funds traded in the secondary market, that is, funds traded on exchanges. You must open a stock account to trade this type of fund. On-exchange funds and over-the-counter funds are not only different. Different trading venues have different trading rules.
Are on-exchange fund transactions real-time transactions?
On-exchange fund transactions are real-time transactions, because the prices of on-exchange funds are real-time. The trading prices of on-site funds and stock trading prices change in real time. The redemption and arrival time of on-site funds is subject to the fund company. After the funds arrive, a bank-securities transfer is required before they can be transferred out to the bank card.
On-exchange funds are traded in the secondary market, and the buying and selling behavior will be reflected in their prices at all times, and the prices will be constantly updated with changes in market supply and demand. Corresponding to on-market funds are over-the-counter funds. The prices of over-the-counter funds do not change in real time, but the net value is announced only at the close of trading at 15:00.
Most ETFs, LOFs, and on-exchange closed-end funds are traded on T+1 just like stocks. That is, the shares bought on that day cannot be sold on that day, and they will have to wait until the next day at the earliest. It can only be sold on one trading day, and the funds sold on that day are available in real time and can be withdrawn on the next trading day.
At present, T+0 money market funds, cross-border ETFs and some cross-border LOFs implement the T+0 trading mechanism. For details, please refer to the fund prospectus published on the official website of the fund company.
When trading on-site funds, you can refer to stock trading. In addition, on-site fund transactions will also incur handling fees. On-exchange trading currently only charges commissions, which are the same as A-share commissions. The starting point is 5 yuan, and no transfer fees and stamp duties are required.
