The Nobel Peace Prize is one of the five Nobel Prizes founded by Swedish inventor alfred nobel (1833- 1896).
According to Nobel's will, the Nobel Peace Prize should not be awarded in Sweden together with the other four prizes, but in Oslo, Norway. The Committee awarding the Peace Prize is a five-member Norwegian Nobel Committee, whose members are appointed by the Norwegian Parliament.
The selection of the Nobel Peace Prize is the responsibility of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, and all its five members are elected by the Norwegian Parliament.
Last September, the Norwegian Nobel Committee was ready to accept nominations. According to the provisions of the Nobel Foundation, the nominations of the following candidates are valid: members of the National Assembly (Parliament) and the central government; Judge of the International Tribunal; University president; Professor of social science, history, philosophy, law and theology; Director of Institute of Peace and Institute of Foreign Policy;
Nobel Peace Prize winner; Member of the board of directors of the organization that won the Nobel Peace Prize; Current and outgoing members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee (their nominations can be made after February of 1 year, but before or on the day of the first meeting of the Committee) and permanent advisers of the Norwegian Nobel Institute, etc.
